Reproductive Health for Rural Women - New Developments in Contraception & Research on Managing Unintended Pregnancies

Professor Kirsten Black will present an update on contraception including new options in oral contraceptive and new Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive methods. She will provide information on new guidance for implants and an update on contraceptive options in specific populations, such as women with obesity, post abortion and postpartum, trans and gender diverse people and perimenopausal women. Local researcher Anna Noonan will present an overview of her research into the experiences of rural women and rural primary healthcare providers in Western NSW in managing unintended pregnancies. Anna will also explain how GPs can join the study.
