Three short talks will be delivered discussing updates from the Agency for Clinical Innovation on chronic pain, Safescript NSW and how it can be used with patients to deliver safer care, and finally, how to discuss opioid cessation and alternative options for managing chronic pain

Learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate how to navigate the Safescript NSW website and find relevant information
  • Communicate realistic expectations with patients when discussing opioid weaning and offer alternative strategies
  • Implement the referral pathway to the Chronic Pain Telehealth Service
