Target Audience:      GPs, Registrars, Medical Students, Specialists, Allied Health Professionals and other interested health professionals

The purpose of this one-day interactive workshop conducted by the University of Sydney, School of Rural Health, is to provide general practice clinicians and other key health service providers with a foundation in research methods and an opportunity to explore and develop a potential health service related research project with assistance from research academics.

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Consider key elements in generating a research question
  • Recognise some of the core concepts in quantitative and qualitative research

  • Consider which study design and approach might best suit your proposed project
  • Consider patient safety and research ethics in the development of your research protocol
