This CPD activity will help guide GPs in how to manage acute illness and steroid-induced hyperglycaemia in people with diabetes.
It will provide participants with an overview of ADS/RACGP guidelines for emergency management of hyperglycaemia in primary care (including case presentation), discuss a case presentation of steroid-induced hyperglycaemia/management and deliver a brief summary of insulin pump technology.
Presenter: Dr Amy Wagstaff, Clinical Endocrinologist
Target Audience: GPs and Registrars. Interested Nurses, Pharmacists, Aboriginal Health Professionals, Medical Students, Specialists, Paramedics and Allied Health Professionals are also welcome to attend
