The health and wellbeing of NSW Coal Mine worker has recently been under the spotlight due to the identification of “Black Lung”. This presentation will examine current features of dust disease and techniques for identification as well as reviewing other important health issues affecting NSW Coal Mine workers. There will be a case study discussion of managing of an injured worker in the Coal Mines Insurance scheme.
