Description

This installment of the Rural Health Webinar Series will explore the findings of the SHAPE Study (A retrospective cohort Study of Heart failure in the Australian Primary carE setting) and what this means for GPs in improving their approach to heart failure.

This webinar will be facilitated by Professor Andrew Sindone (the Director of the Heart Failure Unit and Department of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Concord Hospital and Head of Department of Cardiology at Ryde Hospital who also holds academic appointments at the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University) and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor Ralph Audehm (a general practitioner with over 30 years experience who has close links to the Department of General Practice, University of Melbourne, and participates in research and teaching of medical students, GP registrars and General Practitioners).

A/Prof Ralph Audehm will present the data, how it relates to GPs, and outline tips for improving outcomes for patients. Prof Sindone will share his thoughts on how GPs and cardiologists can work together to optimise patient care.
