This secure, digital health record brings together your most important health information in one place. It gives you, your doctors, specialists and any hospitals you use quick access to the details needed to provide you with safer, better-connected care.
My Health Record includes:
- Your electronic prescriptions and medications dispensed
- Test results, including pathology and radiology resultss
- Hospital discharge summaries
- Vaccination records, allergies and adverse reactions
- Medicare services received from your healthcare provider
- Shared health summaries, eReferrals and specialist’s letters
- Care and support plans
By having a digital health record, you can avoid unnecessary tests, reduce paperwork, and ensure your healthcare providers have a complete picture of your health, no matter where you are or who you see.
Use the 1800MEDICARE app
Your health information, always with you
You can access My Health Record anytime, anywhere with the 1800MEDICARE app (formally my health app). This free app, developed by the Australian Digital Health Agency, puts your health information at your fingertips, helping you and your carers stay informed and in control of your health journey.
With the 1800MEDICARE app, you can easily view:
- Store electronic prescriptions and check Active Script List
- See medical history in one place
- Access Medicare information as well as links about how to enroll and claimCheck test results including pathology results (as soon as they are uploaded)
- Manage and change privacy and access settings
- Invite someone you trust to help manage your record
- Store emergency contact details
- View multiple records as a nominated or authorised representative
- Share vaccinations and immunisations
- Store allergies and reactions information
- Find and book a health service
- Access symptom checker and search for trusted health information

It’s easy to start using the 1800MEDICARE app and take control of your personal health information.
You will need:
- a myGov account linked to My Health Record and
- to have accessed My Health Record at least once through a web browser.
Note: If you already have a myGov account, you don’t need to create a new one. To learn how to link a myGov account to My Health Record, see Step 1 on this page.
Then follow these simple steps:
- Download 1800MEDICARE from your app store. Search for “1800MEDICARE” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Open the app, select Get Started and follow the prompts.
- Start exploring!
