WNSW PHN has commenced its 2021 Community Health Survey, giving residents the opportunity to share their opinions on key health issues and service needs in the region.

Through to Sunday, 27 June, every member of the community is being invited to provide feedback on several aspects of healthcare, from their personal health and wellbeing, to their top health concerns for the community and improvements needed in regional health services.

A telephone survey is also currently being conducted where some residents will be telephoned at random to provide their feedback. For those who are not contacted, the online version can be accessed on the WNSW PHN website.

Forming a major part of the PHN’s Health Needs Assessment, WNSW PHN Acting CEO, Robert Strickland, says results from this confidential survey will assist the coordination and planning of primary healthcare services into the future.

“Our Community Health Survey is such an important tool for our region’s residents to be able to tell us directly about their experiences with primary healthcare and have a direct influence on the provision of local services,” Mr Strickland said.

“As our region covers more than half of the state and includes many diverse communities that experience varying health challenges and issues, it is vital that we receive as much input as possible from each of our communities so we can continue to aim to deliver the right care, in the right place, at the right time for every one of our region’s residents”.

He added, “I encourage every person in Western NSW to share their experience and opinions and have a real say in shaping the delivery of primary healthcare in their community and across the region.”

The online survey is open until Sunday, June 27, 2021.
