The Medical Benevolent Association of NSW-ACT (MBA NSW-ACT) has received funding from the NSW Government to deliver a support program in 2024, specifically aimed at doctors who reside or work in flood impacted areas of Western NSW.

The Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) is pleased to support this initiative and encourage GPs and Doctors in flood affected central and western NSW areas to get in touch and register their interest.

Headed by Prof. Stewart Dunn and involving their two Senior Social Workers, they are seeking your input into the design and logistics of the program to make sure it really hits the mark. They recently delivered a similar program in Lismore. The program will be co-facilitated by Lismore doctors with lived experience, will draw on the power of peer support and collegial connection. In addition to the group work, one-on-one counselling is also available to doctors suffering any adversity or just needing someone to talk to. Their services are free, specialised and confidential.

Please register your interest by the Medical Benevolent Association on 02 9987 0504 or emailing support@mbansw.org.au
