Consumers in Western and Far West NSW are invited to provide feedback on patient experience surveys in general practice to improve patient-centred healthcare.

Patient experience surveys are tools commonly used in health settings, including general practice, to gather feedback from patients regarding their interactions with healthcare services. These surveys aim to assess various aspects of the patient's journey, including the quality of care, communication with healthcare providers, accessibility, and overall satisfaction with the healthcare experience.

Patient experience surveys are vital for ongoing quality improvement in general practice settings. They capture patient insights, enabling healthcare providers to make informed decisions that improve overall patient experience, leading to improved healthcare outcomes and increased satisfaction.

Consumer feedback is critical in shaping these surveys and ensuring they meet the needs of patients. The aim of this work is to develop a patient reported experience measure (survey) that can be built into our Health Outcomes and Patient Experience (HOPE) platform for use in primary care.
