This education session will provide GPs with an update on the multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer, melanoma and soft tissue tumours/sarcoma and an opportunity to expand knowledge regarding neoadjuvant treatment options. GPs will consolidate their approach to work-up in the community of breast symptoms and pigmented skin lesions and will discuss shared cancer follow-up care.

Learning outcomes

  • Discuss best-practice multi-disciplinary approach to managing early-stage breast cancer
  • Describe how to work-up melanomas and identify when a referral is required for Specialist treatment
  • Discuss extremity soft tissue tumours and surgical options to preserve function
