This will be an interactive case-based education session to discuss diagnostic criteria for autism, including identifying children that require further assessment, and the screening and referral pathways for these patients.

The session will also discuss co-morbities that often occur with autism.

Presenter: Dr Samridh Nagar, Senior Staff Specialist, Bathurst Hospital -

  • Detail the early signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder in childhood to ensure early detection and commencement of early intervention
  • Identify management protocols for Autism Spectrum Disorder in childhood and adolescents including treatment of comorbidities
  • Discuss the latest Autism CRC Guidelines for diagnosis and assessment of ASD, released October 2018
